Kenneth "babyface" Edmonds and wife Tracey Edmonds took over the old "Solar" tower. This building was constructed in the 1970's with only two floors of the six floor structure were built out with the empty floors being used as storage. Words can't begin to describe the hideous seventies vibe that greeted us in the original walk through. Gutting the floors which were functional and building out the empty floors with offices, rehearsal stages, recording studios as well as a private residence for Kenny and Tracey required extensive design and planning. The clients desired a chic warehouse feeling with a clean modern edge. Creating a furniture line specific for the building and designing finishes that were somewhat revolutionary (terrazzo in solid colors with zinc chips thrown in, which had never been done) the spaces came together in a beautiful way.
